Hair Resources
I'm so grateful to live in a time where Textured Hair is a CATEGORY in the beauty industry. The spotlight is on us and we are taking up space. Products are being created for us and by us, conversations are ongoing about the daily Textured Hair experiences. There is a lot of action around us and I am a big contributor to the work I love.
From the podcast, Hair Talk with Shimilia B, to the How-to videos on what to do at home, to the Hair Diary, a reflective journal that shares insights from my lens as a professional textured hair stylist, the work I do matters to me. Check out my contributions below.
Hair Talk with Shimilia B has been able to explore the industry multiple perspectives. I have been n conversation with clients I've worked with for years, her students and opens up new insight from industry professionals.
Have you ever wanted insight from the Pros?
That's what Hair Diary gives, my professional lens on how to approach, care for and navigate your daily textured hair experience. Think of it as a 1 on 1 conversation where you ask questions and I give you step by step instructions.
Hair Color in the Textured Hair space has been treated with suspicion. As a Hair Colorist, my love for curls and color is bonded in the way I care for the hair before and after the application.
I created two guides to give language to the varying looks that can be achieved; a custom extensions guide and lived-in color guide.
